Styret i OSI Badminton innkaller herved til medlemsmøte i OSI Badminton mandag 29. januar 2024 kl. 17:15-18:45, altså før mandagstrening på Blindern Athletica. Dørene åpnes kl. 17:00.
Medlemsmøte avholdes på UiO sitt campus på Blindern , rom 108 ved Niels Henrik Abels hus (addresse: Moltke Moes Vei 35, 0851 Oslo) (https://www.uio.no/om/finn-fram/omrader/blindern/bl14/).
Har du noen saker som vil tas opp, så vennligst send det inn til osibad@gmail.com merket med "Årsmøte 2024". Frist for å melde inn saker er 24. januar 2024. Alle saker skal inneholde en begrunnelse og et forslag til vedtak. Ved mangel, vil saken mest sannsynlig bli forkastet.
Saksliste vil bli gjort tilgjengelig for medlemmer 25. januar. På agendaen er det allerede klart at vi både trenger å utvide og få inn nye til styret. Spond
We will use Spond from next week, and we will start sending invitations from this Thursday. We use Spond to manage trainings and events. For more info about our usage of Spond: https://badminton.osi.no/p/62034/joining-practice
Those who have paid OSI Badminton membership, but is not included in Spond, please use this link to be added in our Spond-group: https://group.spond.com/HZOQZ
We will accept you to the Spond-group when we have registered your payment. Here you will se get an overview of trainings and events, where you need to register to participate. Invitations will will be sent out 3-4 days before. Those who have paid their membership and and have registered their attendance will be prioritized for upcoming practices.
Info about trainings:
We advise that less experienced players to come on Mondays and Fridays, while more experienced players can also come on Thursdays and Sundays.

COURSES:
Beginner courses are being held during our Friday practices at Domus. After some weeks of Beginner courses, the Intermediate courses replace the Beginner course.
If you have SiO Athletica membership, feel free to join and try out twice before becoming a member.
Make sure to answer each event if you are going to attend. We will normally make each event visible 2-3 days in advance at 17:30.

As we received the training hours quite late this year, we will need to plan how to organize our practices with trainers and other administrative things.
We will therefore only have free play for the next couple of weeks (meaning no trainers). Changes may occur.
TRAINING HOURS:
We recently received the training hours for the 2021/22 season:
-Mondays: 18:00 - 19:30 at Domus Athletica
-Fridays: 19:00 - 20:45 at Blindern Athletica
!NOTE: We have not yet received any time for Oslomet, as they have laid out new flooring in the hall. We will hopefully receive an update soon of when we can use it.
JOINING PRACTICES:
We will continuing using Spond to register attendance for our practices. You can join our group on Spond here: https://group.spond.com/HZOQZ . If you already have it installed, go to the "Group" section in the app and use the group code HZOQZ to join.

Make sure you can access the SiO training centres.
Membership fees will be sent out at a later period and paying it is a mandatory to be able to continue attending with us.
We will have the following training hours at Blindern Athletica (address: Problemveien 13, 0313 Oslo):
-Mondays: 18:30 - 19:30
-Tuesdays: 18:00 - 19:30
-Wednesdays: 16:00 - 18:00
We will have an attendance limit of 16-20 players based on total hours for a given day and availability of courts during the training hours.
Make sure you can access SiO Athletica's venues by membership or other methods.
We will be using Spond to register attendance. Spond is a Norwegian service customized to communicating in sports teams with great focus on privacy. It enables us to create and register members who attend our events, as well as it enables us to have waiting lists, so one can simply decline and notify the next person on the list if they want to attend. It also makes it easier for us to track who were the first to register their attendance.

Notice that we need to manually accept your invitaion, so it can take some time before you are registered as a member of our Spond group.
You will receive a notification on the app once a event is available for registration. You can then click on the event and click "Attend". You will also see that if it is full, you can click "Attend on waiting list", so when a person declines to attend, the next person on the waiting list will be informed and has the opportunity to join. An event should be available 4 days in advance and opens at 17:30 for registration.

]]>Hi! We want to inform you that there will be some changes regarding organized practices forward.
--ORGANIZED PRACTICES ON MONDAYS--
We will soon begin with organized practices (with coaches) on Mondays at Domus Athletica. We may divide the hall in 3 sections based on levels (beginners, intermediate, experienced), where it will be held a 1 hours practice during our training session.
Check out the polls for Monday practices for alternatives that represent the training group you would participate in regarding level. We will adjust the size of each groups if necessary.
As our intermediates did not receive any organized practice with coaches last semester, due to the corona situation, we would like to prioritize them this semester.
We are therefore planning to have a short period (around 4 weeks) where intermediates and beginners are the ones who will have organized practice. After the short practice, we will then have organized practice for experienced and intermediates + beginners.
--SOME GENERAL RULES--
You need to have SiO Athletica membership to be able to attend our practices.
You are welcome to try and play a couple of times before applying to become an member of the club. You can apply to become a member on our website (see green button): https://badminton.osi.no/ . This is a seperate fee from the SiO Athletica membership.
Make sure to have registered on the contact info form, so it is easier for us to reach out to people if it happens to be an outbreak during one of our practices. Link to form: https://forms.gle/9G4BsDx2mCJ8MrAC7
Please bring your own equipment (racket, shuttles), as well as a towel. The latter is required from SiO to enter their centers.
Try to be at least 1 meter away from each other and avoid physical contact.
Wash hands before and after practice and avoid touching your face.
Stay home if you feel sick or if you are ill.
If you set up any equipment during practice, please put it back (if applicable). This is to reduce the amount of unecessary contact of equipment that others have been in contact with.
--SYSTEM FOR ATTENDING A PRACTICE--
We have noticed that during registration for attending a practice, that there are some who register even though the maximum amount of players for the training groups is reached.
First and foremost are we creating a limit for player attendance due to infection control. The limit is set to prevent close contact with others, as well as to prevent big outbreaks (if there will be one). Secondly, a limit is set to create a space where players can excercise effectively as well as having time for short rests while rotating.
If this trend continue, we may change to a different system for attending a practice, that will be more burdensome for both us from the board and our members. And update will be out if we are going to change the system.
